August Wilson’s Tony-nominated drama set in a boarding house in Pittsburgh’s Hill District in 1911. The play explores the lives of African Americans at the start of the Great Migration to the North as they seek their own identities and contend with racism and discrimination. Tickets are $45, with $40 senior tickets. $25 rush tickets at the door for student with ID & theatre artists.
* All 2 PM Matinee performances will be inside Madison Arts Center, 3401 Milwaukee Street in the Upper Hill (the same location we’ll use for our other performances if inclement weather requires that).
